Do lips swell a lot from injections ?

Lip swelling is minimal during the first 24 hours following the treatment. Cold is applied to the lips at the end of the treatment and patients can continue applying cold at home in order for swelling to resorb quicker. Swelling usually goes down the next day.

When does the result become visible ?

While this procedure’s results are immediate, it is preferable to wait until the next day to evaluate the result because of the inflammation resulting from lip injections.

Are lip injections painful ?

Injections are not painful in the hands of a qualified practitioner. Local anesthesia prevents pain and discomfort during the procedure.

Is there a reason to be worried about ending up with overly large lips if it is not what is expected from the procedure ?

Is sun exposure dangerous ?

Sun protection is recommended in case of bruising. Otherwise, sun exposure is not an issue after 24 hours.

There is no contraindication to another treatment the same day.

Is it possible to apply make-up right after the injections ?

It is recommended to wait 24 hours before wearing make-up again.

What should I do if I am not satisfied with the result ?

Hyaluronidase can be used to undo the effects of hyaluronic acid based filler products. Hyaluronidase is typically used to that end, so you can ask your practitioner to reverse your lip augmentation if needed.
